Jan Aarden
I have as much knowledge of this World-renowned family as anyone on the planet. The current family is the work of 33 years and based on 4 x 1st International Barcelona winners and numerous 1st Barcelona National winners the bloodlines of each one kept intact to the present day.
My father Louis was BIG on simplistic and common sense explanations and would often say of distance pigeons, ‘you mate 600/700 mile winners to 600/700 winners, their offspring somewhere along the line will replicate themselves’. Quite frankly it’s clearly obvious that Thoroughbred Race Horse breeders never attempt to breed an Epsom Derby winner from a shetland pony!
At Massarella Racing Elite our long-distance Jan Aarden’s are bred using the principles outlined above. Breeding from Super Barcelona Champion’s the like of European Bull, De Barcelona ‘241, True Grit, Incredible, La Rosa Bonita, Amazing Grace, Unbreakable, Penny, Red Rum, Braveheart, Invincible Dettori and the old lines of De Smaragd II, De Barcelona, Invincible Spirit and De Smaragd I can still be found in the loft.
There is no better source than mine. Recent BIG winners include; 1st & 2nd Open NFC, 1st section ‘D 5th Open NFC Kings Cup Tarbes, 2nd Open NRCC National & Kings Cup Lerwick, 1st Open East Midlands Amal. Thurso only bird on the day and 8th National Thurso only 14 birds on the day.
The Champion’s Little Tom (bred by me) and Lady in Red (bred by my brother John & I) are both now breeding with Massarella Racing Elite having purchased them from my dear friends Tom & Helen Augustiny.
